My favorite from the era is Frank Brunos boxing for Commodore..a Punch Out clone..second was Barry McGuigan boxing.

Favorite fight game from back then was Way of Exploding Fist 1+2 and Internation Karate and IK+. Really good games.

hahaha. Yeah, i know them all, i played them all. My favorite Boxing game was BarryMcGuigans Boxing. I loved all of the Karate-games you listed and i played all of them very long back in the days.

Fight Night is a very different game from ob3d..the ones that knows both says that OB3D is much better not graphics of course, but gameplay.

Mikkel old pal....i got a secret hint for you. If you put blood on your 3D-boxing you will get a lot of players there. Dont know if you remember the old "Thai Boxing" for C64. There were the portraits of the fighters on the upper corners and the more they hit each other the more blood appeared on their faces. I just played this boxing game back in the days because of this realistic effect. It would be better on the 3D game if the blood comes directly out of the fighters faces when they get hit but if this is too hard to complete such portraits would make the job and would make the game much more interesting for a lot of people.

I want to honour John. I think he is really important for the game. On the search for old veterans he was able to find me in Boxing Fanatics and sent me a PM there (so i went after 6 month back to the OB-Forum). He encourages Boon to come back again, he tries to do advertisement for the game on other boxing/boxing-games sites. He is a real enrichment.

hey boon. I understand your retrirement because your strongest skill was your slow ping but i always thought that you are an enrichment for OB. I retired long before you but sooner or later i come back and i would be happy to see Dick E. Boon then. And if your ping is in the 160-180 area its nice to fight you.

Time becomes an issue for Mikkel, but hosting this isn't free. I started playing this game in 2003 and I think it began a year or two prior to that right? I am not interested in doing again a discussion about what is better...2D or 3D. I just think that OB2D is much better for the internet (and not the dumb and silly flashgame players

You know i never was an easy forum/game-member but i never said just "wow..mikkel, you are my number one hero. Can i lick your ass please?" like others here do

(no offense tyrant). I am the honest guy..even if it is unconfortable.

Anyway...you created one of the best games i know for the net. At the moment i dont play the game anymore but that means nothing. Its really good to see that some people (like good ol john for example..) love the game and everything around like i did (do).

I respect you as a good programmer in internet-games and i am sure you got a vision with your 3D game. But the normal internet-gamer always prefer easier games with more action and not simulations. And i am sure if you gave your time to the 2D game instead of the 3D one you would be one of the Onlinegame-Kings in the net.
