Another mayweather hater. Who has Hatton fought? Mayweather,Ksztu(or however u spell it) and paulie malinaggi.
Margarito-Cotto, Cintron, Mosley
Pacquaio-Barerra(lost 1) morales(lost 1) juan manuel(draw) OLD DLH
Mayweather faced everyone up the ranks to face except Margarito (good idea cuz he had plaster in his wraps) and Mosley who he may comeback and fight.

And you forgot he fought...
Baldomir(former champ)
Gatti(former champ)
Sharmba Mitchell(former champ)
Chop Chop Corley(former champ)
Castillo x2(champ)
Diego Corrales(rip)
emanuel augustus(former champ)
angel manfredy(former champ) Jesus Chaves(champ)

AND NEVER LOST.

Don't put emphasis on the titles. There's 4 of them out there in each division, and many limited fighters capture them with careful management. This is why you have to focus on the overall ratings of respected boxing publications (print and online). Many times the best fighter out there isn't holding a title.

Baldomir(former champ) - You mean Bumdomir? Talk about a limited brawler.

Gatti(former champ) - You mean the washed up human punching bag?

Sharmba Mitchell(former champ) - You mean the washed up chinny runner?

Chop Chop Corley(former champ) - How about "Shot Shot" Corley because this guy never had a prime. That's how much of a bust he was.

Castillo x2(champ) - He lost the first fight in most people's eyes, and the 2nd was nothing to brag about. Talk about stinking out the show to avoid engaging one's opponent.

Diego Corrales(rip) - Wow. A quality win against a rising slugger.

emanuel augustus(former champ) - The ultimate journeyman.

angel manfredy(former champ) Jesus Chaves(champ) - Stop it. You're making me laugh.

In the grand scheme of themes, PBF has a carefully crafted record. Simply ask yourself if he fought the best guys in each division. Therein lies your answer as to how great he really was.

Biggest names are Zab Judah, Over the hill DLH, Riciky Hatton and Castillo.
IF u REALLY get down to it, the ONLY FREAKEN NAME on the list is HATTON..he is the only one with a name and hungry and prime time.
I wish he chokes on his dollar bills..

I couldn't agree more. I posted this earlier on my boxing forum. The debate was in regards to whom was greater De La Hoya or Mayweather.

My overall point was that Mayweather's resume isn't that impressive when you break it down. He has a lot of talent, but he's always been too scared to really seek the toughest fights out there. He did a lot of cherry picking in his career. He's by far, one of the most overrated fighters to come around in sometime. The credit some people give him is really undeserved.

De La Hoya

Won titles from 130-160. That’s 6 weight classes. However, he was only a legit champion in 4 of those weight classes. Forget 130 and 160. I’m only counting weight classes where he scored legit victories against the elite of these divisions.

Best victories were against: Rafael Ruelas, Genaro Hernandez, Jesse James Leija, past prime Chavez twice, Miguel Angel Gonzalez, Pernell Whittaker, Ike Quartey, Javier Castillejo, Ricardo Mayorga. Additionally: Many people believe he should've gotten the nod against Mosley in their rematch and against Trinidad.

Mayweather Jr.

Won titles from 130-154. That’s 5 weight classes. However, he was only a legit champion in 3 of those weight classes. Forget 140. I’m only counting weight classes where he scored legit victories against the elite of these divisions.

Best victories were against: Diego Corrales, Genaro Hernandez, Jose Luis Castillo twice (many felt JLC won their first fight), past prime De La Hoya, Hatton (world class at 140) at 147.

Note: He wasn't dominate in either Castillo fight particularly their second encounter. He also defeated a past prime DLH by a hair and Hatton, who has never been worth much at 147.

Now let's take a look at fighters they didn't fight in their respective weight classes.

Can you think of anyone DLH didn't fight from 130-160? 130 was probably the only weight class where he didn't do shit, and at 160 (a weight he had no business at) , he at least fought the best fighter there, an all-time great in Hopkins.

At 130, PBF didn't fight Casamayor or Freitas.

At 135, he fought the best but should've been given a loss in his first fight against Castillo.

At 140, he didn't fight any of the elites.

At 147, he didn't fight any of the elites.

At 154, he fought a past prime, part-timer, and still only managed to win by a hair.

DLH > PBF

Your forum is great. Between Boxing Fanatics Forum amd Fightbeat, I have no problem keeping up with the ends and outs. Keep up the great job you have been doing.

Thanks. The Boxing Forum used to be much busier a few years ago, but we still keep up with all the latest news. The Non-Boxing Section has now become the most popular section.

After you make several defenses and establish that you can keep those titles against most, next you should attempt to unify.

I just think it's sort of cheapens the accomplishment if you beat John for his two titles, but in reality 2 of them were handed to you without you having to fight anyone for them. In that case, it's like you won two titles to become Super Champ.

Good luck to the both of you.

No disrespect, but cheap?, what like retiring, making a new name and beating bums to win all 4?, I'm not here for an argument. I have paid my dues and beat alot of good fighters to get to rank 1, so it wasn't "two fights".

I remember unstop being in a similar situation yet it counted for him, in my eyes getting to rank one and being there for about a month is alot harder than wining 2 fights to become champ and anyway to become superchamp you have to win a minimum of 8 fights.

I didn't say you were cheap, just saying that route cheapens the Super Champ status. That, however, is just my opinion.

Ricky Hatton beat a lot of very good fighters, the best around actually. The top fighters had plenty of chances to take those titles.

I wasn't around when Unstoppable became Super Champ so I can't comment on that situation.

I could go into "Ricky Hatton's" record but I won't, it's not about that.

I'll give you an example of a real life event. If David Haye won a couple of titles because he was the mandatory challenger and the champion retires and Haye then get's given his titles, then beats another guy for the other two, he would be regarded as the undisputed champion of the world, no matter how he did it. Would people think he is on a level with HOFers like Ali, Frazier or Holyfield?, no, but he would be regarded as a "superchamp" none the less.

I do respect what you say though and understand completely where you are coming from and I definately know we would be the weakest superchamp out of all the guys that have achieved the feat in the past, but I also happen to think that I am the best active player on the game at the moment and have beaten alot of great fighters past and present to be given the chance to prove as champion what I have just said.

I too understand where you're coming from, and you make valid points.

BTW, I've no doubt that either Nigel, John, or Red Viper are going to soon become Super Champs. However, it'll be interesting to see which one of them actually remains Super Champ the longest while facing the best around.

Here's a few pics. http://onlineboxing.net/jforum/posts/list/1451.page

That's strange. They've been vacated since I left. Good luck to whomever gobbles them all up.

I most likely won't be back for several months, possibly until the summer. I have several important items I have to focus on right now.
Fatny, hopefully you used some of these...

So you won't come back when some of these...

He was missing the OBA title. Undisputed today means holding all 4 titles.

I also don't believe the unification should count if the titles are given (via the script) to someone after they've been vacated. A person should have to win them all fairly.
